Perú superó meta de conversiones vehiculares del programa BonoGas

El programa BonoGas Vehicular, que otorga financiamiento para que los propietarios de automóviles puedan costear la conversión al gas natural, atendió a 8.529 usuarios a diciembre de 2020, con lo que supera ampliamente la meta trazada en un principio por el Ministerio de Energía y Minas (Minem).

18 de enero de 2021.   La iniciativa, financiada con los recursos del Fondo de Inclusión Social Energético (FISE), está en implementación desde septiembre de 2018 y, al cierre de 2019, había alcanzado una cobertura de 5.477 usuarios. El Minem había previsto que para el cierre de 2020 se debía cumplir con la conversión de 7.256 vehículos como mínimo.

Sin embargo, de manera positiva el programa superó la meta establecida y, con la cifra alcanzada en 2020, ha obtenido un crecimiento superior al 50% en comparación al año anterior, consolidando al programa como herramienta fundamental en el proceso de masificación de gas natural en el país.

BonoGas Vehicular se implementó en siete regiones: Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Junín, Ica, Lima y Callao, y brinda un crédito accesible, con una tasa de interés menor al 3% anual, para que los propietarios de vehículos livianos (Categoría M1) puedan usar gas natural vehicular (GNV), consiguiendo un importante ahorro mediante un combustible limpio y económico.

La iniciativa está dirigida a todos los propietarios de vehículos y, a partir de 2020, se dio inicio a un programa piloto para extender su cobertura al transporte público, brindando el financiamiento a las empresas de transporte para que puedan convertir sus unidades a gas y reemplazar el diésel.

Las conversiones son realizadas en talleres de conversión autorizados por el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC), con garantía y equipos de conversión de quinta generación.

En 2021, el Minem tiene el objetivo de intensificar la masificación del gas natural, y por ello BonoGas Vehicular seguirá en crecimiento, con el fin de beneficiar a un mayor número de usuarios particulares y emprendedores que realizan trabajos en taxi o servicios de movilidad.
