Alemania: ordenan la mayor flota de trenes a hidrógeno del mundo

La filial de RMV, Fahma, licitó 27 trenes de pilas de combustible en toda Europa. Ahora se ha anunciado al fabricante ganador: Alstom entregará las unidades tipo Coradia iLint en 2022.

31 de mayo de 2019.   Además de los trenes, el pedido también incluye el abastecimiento de hidrógeno, el mantenimiento y la provisión de capacidades de reserva para los próximos 25 años. Alstom ofrece el suministro de hidrógeno en colaboración con Infraserv GmbH & Co. Höchst KG, y la estación de servicio está ubicada en las instalaciones del parque industrial de Höchst.

Enak Ferlemann, secretario de Estado Parlamentario del Ministerio de Transporte e Infraestructura de Alemania, dijo que “el gobierno federal apoya esta inversión en movilidad ecológica al asumir el 40% de los costos adicionales incurridos en estos vehículos en comparación con los diésel, además de brindar soporte proporcional para la estación de carga de hidrógeno. Esperamos que muchos otros proyectos en Alemania sigan este ejemplo”.

“Estamos muy contentos de que nuestros trenes regionales Coradia iLint de emisiones cero operen en Hesse en un futuro próximo, lo que permitirá un transporte de pasajeros respetuoso con el medio ambiente en la región de Taunus. Este nuevo éxito, junto con el anterior del Coradia iLint, demuestra que el transporte sostenible ya es una realidad”, comentó el Dr. Jörg Nikutta, director general de Alstom en Alemania y Austria.

“Esta compra establece dos récords: con la puesta en servicio de las nuevas unidades en 2022, RMV tendrá la mayor flota mundial de trenes de pilas de combustible para el transporte de pasajeros y es el pedido más grande en la historia de nuestra subsidiaria Fahma”, agregó el director gerente de RMV, profesor Knut Ringat.

Los nuevos trenes de pilas de combustible reemplazarán trenes diésel existentes en las siguientes líneas: RB11 (Frankfurt-Höchst – Bad Soden), RB12 (Frankfurt – Königstein), RB15 (Frankfurt – Bad Homburg – Brandoberndorf) y RB16 (Friedrichsdorf – Friedberg). El valor total del pedido asciende a unos 500 millones de euros.

Los dos primeros trenes de hidrógeno del mundo ya han estado en servicio regular de pasajeros en la red Elbe-Weser en Baja Sajonia desde septiembre de 2018. La Autoridad de Transporte Local de este estado operará 14 trenes Coradia iLint en esa línea a partir de 2021 Por lo tanto, RMV será el segundo operador en adoptar una tecnología de hidrógeno respetuosa con el medio ambiente sin gases de escape, con los vehículos de Fahma.
