Mediante el sistema se administran las subastas estructuradas por el Regulador para la negociación de suministro y capacidad de transporte de gas natural en los mercados primario y secundario.

29 de octubre 2020.   La Bolsa Mercantil de Colombia, actual Gestor del Mercado de Gas Natural, presentó la versión 2.0 del Sistema Electrónico de Gas (SEGAS), plataforma utilizada por los agentes del mercado de gas natural para el registro de información transaccional y operativa.

En línea con las directrices de la CREG, mediante este sistema se administran las subastas estructuradas por el Regulador para la negociación de suministro y capacidad de transporte de gas natural en las instancias de negociación de los mercados primario y secundario.

“Hoy presentamos una versión renovada del SEGAS, pensada como una plataforma que mejora la experiencia de los usuarios, que les permitirá, de una manera más ágil, registrar y consultar la información transaccional y operativa del mercado para una mejor toma de decisiones, así como facilitar su participación en las subastas administradas por el Gestor del Mercado de Gas Natural” afirmó María Inés Agudelo, presidente de la BMC.

El SEGAS es una plataforma modular y escalable, desarrollada bajo protocolos de internet para acceso exclusivo de usuarios autorizados por las empresas y usuarios no regulados, participantes del mercado mayorista de gas natural registrados ante el Gestor del Mercado.

La plataforma centraliza la información del mercado de gas natural y posteriormente se despliega su publicación de manera agregada a través del Boletín Electrónico Central (BEC, www.bmcbec.com.co).

Este es el primer cambio que anuncia el Gestor del Mercado de Gas Natural, de varios que se presentarán en los próximos meses.

A la fecha, el SEGAS cuenta con más de 5 millones de registros de información relacionada con la operación y contratación del mercado. Así mismo, en ésta se han desarrollado cerca de 4.000 subastas de diferentes periodicidades (diarias, mensuales, bimensuales y anuales) en cumplimiento de la normatividad vigente. Actualmente se encuentran 343 empresas registradas, entre productores – comercializadores, comercializadores de gas importado, transportadores, comercializadores, generadores térmicos y usuarios no regulados.
