En julio de 2020 se inició la perforación de 2 pozos de exploración y 6 pozos de desarrollo en Colombia, para un total en lo que va del año de 14 pozos exploratorios y 171 de desarrollo.

26 de agosto de 2020.   En julio de 2020 la producción comercializada de gas natural fue de 932,5 millones de pies cúbicos por día (mpcd), lo que significa una reducción del 14,9% frente a lo registrado en junio de este año (1.096 mpcd). En comparación con julio de 2019 (1.043 mpcpd), la producción tuvo una disminución del 10,5%.

El Ministerio de Minas y Energía informó que la disminución en la producción de gas natural durante julio se debió principalmente al mantenimiento programado en los campos Floreña y Floreña Mirador, a problemas mecánicos en los campos Pauto Sur y Floreña (Yopal, Casanare) en los últimos días del mes y a variaciones en la demanda.

En los primeros siete meses de 2020 la producción de gas en Colombia registró una disminución de 2,44%, llegando a 1.016 mpcpd, frente a los 1.041 mpcpd reportados en el mismo periodo de 2019.

Producción de petróleo

En cuanto a la producción de petróleo, el Minenergía informó que en julio fue de 734.987 barriles promedio día (bpd), los cuales representan un leve aumento del 0,7% frente a los datos reportados en junio pasado (729.905 bpd). Con respecto a la producción de julio de 2019 (868.745 bpd), se presentó una disminución del 15,4%.

El incremento en la producción de petróleo durante julio se debió, principalmente, al desarrollo y optimización de los campos Rubiales (Puerto Gaitán, Meta), Chichimene (Acacías, Meta), Jacana (Villanueva, Casanare), Túa (Tauramena, Casanare), y a la reactivación de los campos Hamaca (Puerto Gaitán, Meta), Copa (San Luis de Palenque, Casanare) y Rumba (Aguazul, Casanare).

A julio de 2020, la producción de petróleo alcanzó 801.792 barriles promedio día, lo que muestra una reducción del 9,81% frente al mismo periodo de 2019, cuando se tuvo una producción de 888.967 barriles día.

Finalmente, en julio de 2020 se inició la perforación de 2 pozos de exploración y 6 pozos de desarrollo en Colombia, para un total en lo que va del año de 14 pozos exploratorios y 171 de desarrollo.
