Faltan $545 mil millones en subsidios de gas natural

  • Los estratos uno y dos reciben subsidios por parte del gobierno colombiano en el servicio público de gas domiciliario.  

22 de agosto de 2018.   El presidente de la Asociación Colombiana de Gas Natural (Naturgas) Orlando Cabrales Segovia señaló que faltan $545.000 millones de presupuesto del gobierno para garantizar los subsidios al gas natural.

El dirigente advirtió que no se están contemplando en el Presupuesto General de la Nación los recursos suficientes para garantizar los subsidios de gas natural a las familias más vulnerables (estratos uno y dos).

Además, explicó que aún el Gobierno Nacional les adeuda a las empresas del sector $214 mil millones por los subsidios entregados en lo que va corrido de 2018, y que para la vigencia 2019 las necesidades de subsidios para cubrir la totalidad de pagos por menores tarifas son de $585 mil millones, montos que no alcanzan a ser cubiertos en el proyecto del PGN 2019 sometido a consideración por el Congreso de la República.

“Vemos con preocupación la asignación de recursos para las vigencias fiscales 2018 y 2019, pero confiamos en que el Gobierno y el Congreso realicen los ajustes necesarios para no afectar a los usuarios de estratos 1 y 2.

“También hacemos un llamado para que se prioricen racionalmente los subsidios energéticos y se entreguen subsidios para el gas licuado del petróleo (GLP) solamente donde se necesita y no donde ya existen subsidios de gas natural, pues el país estaría desperdiciando recursos”, explicó Cabrales Segovia.
