Gas natural vehicular de Camisea llegará a Cusco

  • El Consorcio Camisea pondrá en marcha el proyecto “Gas Natural para uso vehicular en la Región Cusco”, Perú, para impulsar el suministro de gas natural vehicular (GNV) en las ciudades de Cusco y Quillabamaba.

5 de marzo de 2019.   La realización de este proyecto se lleva a cabo en línea con el plan del Gobierno Regional del Cusco de promover el uso del gas natural en beneficio de dicha región, para lo cual suscribió un convenio de cooperación interinstitucional.

“Con este esfuerzo económico reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la región de Cusco, beneficiando a sus pobladores, acercándoles una energía mucho más económica y amigable con el medio ambiente. Esta iniciativa está alineada con los esfuerzos que realiza el Estado para masificar el gas natural en el territorio nacional”, dijo Germán Jiménez Vega, gerente general de Pluspetrol, operador de Camisea.

El proyecto contempla la instalación de tres estaciones de servicio (dos en Cusco y una en Quillabamba), la gestión de un programa integral para la conversión de vehículos nuevos y usados, la promoción y finalmente la venta directa al consumidor final.

La distribución y venta del combustible estarán a cargo de Lima Gas Natural. Las dos primeras estaciones de servicio estarán operativas a fines del 2019 año y la tercera en 2020.
