El siguiente es el comunicado a la opinión pública que expidieron varios gremios energéticos y de los servicios públicos, ante la caótica situación que vive Colombia.

5 de mayo de 2021.   En este momento de grandes retos para el país, y conscientes del papel fundamental que juegan los servicios públicos de energía eléctrica y gas natural para la vida, la salud y el bienestar de todos los colombianos, los gremios del sector (Acolgen, ANDEG, ANDESCO, ASOCODIS, NATURGAS y SER-Colombia) y sus empresas asociadas, reiteramos y reafirmamos nuestro compromiso por garantizar la prestación de estos servicios en Colombia con la confiabilidad y seguridad que se requiere, para lo cual las empresas del sector están haciendo todos los esfuerzos necesarios.

La prioridad de nuestras empresas es garantizar un abastecimiento seguro del servicio, especialmente a las clínicas y hospitales que dependen de este para salvaguardar la vida de los colombianos.

Para garantizar la prestación del servicio es indispensable facilitar las actividades de nuestros operarios, preservar la integridad de nuestra infraestructura energética y permitir el suministro de los combustibles. Invitamos a la ciudadanía a contribuir con estos propósitos, pues de ellos depende la salud y bienestar de todos.

Manifestamos nuestro total respaldo a la institucionalidad del Estado y hacemos un llamado respetuoso a la calma y al diálogo para frenar las alteraciones de orden público que ha vivido el país en los últimos días.
