Vanti, el nuevo nombre de Gas Natural Fenosa en Colombia

22 de noviembre de 2018.   Vanti es el nuevo nombre que reemplaza a Gas Natural Fenosa, marca utilizada por Gas Natural, S.A. ESP, y sus filiales estratégicas Gas Natural Cundiboyacence, Gasoriente y Gasnacer. Con el cambio de accionistas, los dueños de la compañía son hoy Brookfield con 54.9%; Grupo de Energía de Bogotá con el 25%; Fondos de Pensiones con el 10%, y otros privados y particulares, con el 10%.

Con más de 30 años de experiencia, la hoy Vanti es una empresa que ha prestado el servicio de distribución y comercialización de gas natural a más de 3 millones de clientes en 105 municipios de Colombia, a través de 22 mil kilómetros de red.

“En la medida en que el anterior nombre era el mismo nombre del producto, podemos afirmar que con Vanti le hemos dado nombre al gas natural. Un nombre que nace para avanzar en el desarrollo y mantenimiento de la infraestructura, para crecer en nuestro número de usuarios, para profundizar en los mercados que ya atendemos y para incursionar en el desarrollo de nuevos servicios complementarios”, dijo Rodolfo Anaya, presidente de Vanti, durante la rueda de prensa del lanzamiento del nuevo nombre.

El proceso de transformación conlleva una inversión por US$25 millones en 2 años, para lograr ofrecer un servicio 365 días, 24 horas, más tecnológico y rápido. Así mismo, para ofrecer nuevos productos que permitirán utilizar en mayor medida el gas natural y seguir mejorando un servicio, que ya hoy se destaca por el nivel de satisfacción entre los usuarios.

“Estamos mejorando nuestros procesos con los clientes, por ejemplo, en facilidades para la revisión periódica, el arriendo de gasodomésticos y servicios adicionales para el hogar”, agregó Anaya.

En cuanto a la demanda y uso del combustible, el ejecutivo señaló que existe un potencial de crecimiento del mercado en todos los sectores: en el residencial el potencial es de un 50%. De acuerdo con el presidente de Vanti, el tiempo para lograrlo, en gran parte, dependerá de la regulación, los precios de producción y la flexibilidad tarifaria que se requiere.

“Pero lo que si hay que dejar claro es que el gas natural se ha convertido en el camino que Colombia debe seguir para potenciar su desarrollo y asegurar el bienestar de la sociedad, por ser un producto económico, rentable, seguro, cómodo y amigable con el ambiente, por lo que todavía tiene mucho por entregar”, dijo.

Con la nueva etapa, Vanti tiene como objetivo llegar con más productos, por ejemplo, calentadores de agua, secadoras de ropa, chimeneas, calefactores y aires acondicionados a gas.

En los comercios e industrias también hay oportunidades. Para zonas donde hay problemas de contaminación ambiental, Vanti cuenta con soluciones para eliminar el uso del carbón en los procesos. El objetivo es que industriales y comerciantes puedan usar más gas en sus procesos productivos y obtener así soluciones energéticas para potenciar su desarrollo.

Para el caso del gas natural vehicular, la inclusión hasta el momento del 41% de los nuevos buses de la flota de Transmilenio, más de 480 buses a gas natural, muestra el camino hacia la introducción de tecnologías limpias en el transporte masivo de Bogotá.

Ciudades como Medellín, Cartagena, Manizales y Palmira ya han reconocido las bondades del gas natural para el transporte público de pasajeros, operando alrededor de 700 buses a gas natural en el país.

Finalmente, la invitación del presidente y directivas de Vanti para sus más de 566 colaboradores en todo el país, aliados del negocio y clientes, fue trabajar juntos por la nueva marca, con vocación de dar, con un servicio que impacte positivamente a cada persona y que, al ser público, tenga este mismo impacto en la sociedad.
