El 25% del parque automotor de Bolivia ha sido convertido a GNV, porcentaje que genera un ahorro al Estado de más de 1.900 millones de bolivianos (USD 275 millones).

20 de agosto de 2019.   La directora de la Entidad Ejecutora de Conversión a Gas Natural Vehicular (EEC-GNV) de Bolivia, Alejandra Huaylla, dijo que “el parque automotor de Bolivia refleja en los últimos cinco años un índice de crecimiento significativo como resultado de la política de Estado que ha implementado el Ministerio de Hidrocarburos.”

Durante su exposición sobre el “Sistema Integral de Transporte Ecológico”, en el marco de la segunda versión de la “Semana de los Hidrocarburos – Gas, Petroquímica y Combustibles Verdes”, Huaylla explicó que uno de los mayores retos que tiene América Latina y Bolivia es lograr un consumo energético eficiente dentro de la soberanía, seguridad energética y la reducción de gases de efecto invernadero. En ese contexto, agregó que la mayor participación del consumo final se encuentra en el sector del transporte.

A través del Ministerio de Hidrocarburos, la entidad trabaja con los gobiernos subnacionales para desarrollar e implementar el Sistema Integral de Transporte Ecológico a GNV “SIT-GNV”. “Queremos ampliar la visión de utilizar GNV con tecnología de gas natural comprimido y gas natural licuado. La entidad se va encargar de la normalización, certificación, habilitación, ejecución, seguimiento y control de estas nuevas tecnologías”, agregó Huaylla.

Por otro lado, la Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos (ANH) realizará la gestión regulatoria para la ampliación en la comercialización y distribución del GNC mediante estaciones de servicio y talleres de conversión y recalificación. Paralelamente YPFB implementará las estaciones de servicio para estas nuevas tecnologías, con el fin de dar sostenibilidad, accesibilidad y seguridad en trabajo articulado con los municipios y departamentos.
