Producción de gas natural creció 20,3% en julio frente al mismo mes de 2020

De acuerdo con el Ministerio de Minas y Energía, el aumento en la producción de gas natural se debió a la mayor demanda un julio y al restablecimiento de la producción luego de la afectación generada por los bloqueos en el marco del Paro Nacional.

6 de septiembre de 2021.   La producción comercializada de gas natural en Colombia fue de 1.122 millones de pies cúbicos por día (mpcd) en julio de 2021, lo que significa una recuperación del 20,3% frente a lo registrado en el mismo mes de 2020 (932 mpcpd). En comparación con junio de 2021 (1.065 mpcpd), la producción tuvo un incremento del 5,3%.

El alza en la producción se debió a un aumento del gas comercializado principalmente en los campos Floreña, Floreña Mirador, Pauto Sur (Yopal, Casanare), Cupiagua Sur, Cupiagua Liria (Aguazul, Casanare), Aguas vivas (Sahagún, Córdoba) y Clarinete (La Unión, Sucre), debido al aumento de la demanda de gas durante el mes de julio y al restablecimiento de la producción luego de la afectación generada por los bloqueos en el marco del Paro Nacional.

Durante los primeros siete meses de 2021 la producción promedio de gas comercializado en Colombia registró un incremento del 6,1%, llegando a 1.078 millones de pies cúbicos por día (mpcpd) frente a los 1.015 mpcpd reportados en el mismo periodo del año 2020.

Producción de petróleo

En cuanto a la producción de petróleo, en julio de 2021 fue de 731.255 barriles promedio día, una disminución del 0,5% frente a los datos reportados en julio de 2020 (734.987 bpd). Con respecto a la producción de junio pasado (694.150 bpd) se registró un incremento del 5,3%.

El aumento en la producción se presentó principalmente en los campos Rubiales (Puerto Gaitán, Meta), Castilla Norte, Chichimene, Chichimene SW (Acacías, Meta), Cohembí (Puerto Asís, Putumayo), Costayaco (Villa Garzón, Putumayo), Andina (Tame, Arauca) y Castilla (Castilla La Nueva, Meta), debido al restablecimiento de la producción tras el levantamiento de los bloqueos ocasionados por el Paro Nacional.

En los primeros siete meses de 2021 la producción promedio de petróleo alcanzó 730.138 barriles por día, lo que muestra una reducción de 8,9% frente al mismo periodo de 2020, cuando se tuvo una producción de 801.792 barriles día.

Finalmente, durante julio de 2021 se inició la perforación de tres pozos exploratorios y 41 pozos de desarrollo en Colombia, para un total en lo que va del año de 18 pozos exploratorios y 220 de desarrollo.

Además, durante julio se adquirieron 122 kilómetros de sísmica 2D equivalente, para un total en el año de 906 kilómetros.
