Gasnova pide no bloquear la distribución del GLP en el país

La Asociación Colombiana del GLP (Gasnova) hace un llamado para permitir la circulación de los vehículos que distribuyen Gas Licuado del Petróleo (GLP), servicio esencial con el que un millón de hogares cocinan sus alimentos en el suroccidente del país.

4 de mayo del 2021.   Debido a los bloqueos por las protestas sociales que se realizan en diversos corredores viales del país, se encuentra afectada la distribución del servicio público domiciliario del GLP  a los usuarios del suroccidente del país: Nariño, Cauca, Putumayo, Caquetá, Huila y Valle del Cauca, que suman un total de 1’088.623 hogares –es decir, 3’482.593 personas– que requieren de este combustible para la cocción de sus alimentos.

Gasnova hace un llamado a la sensatez para que los manifestantes permitan la circulación de los vehículos que distribuyen el GLP, y de esta forma se pueda surtir este servicio esencial para los hogares que lo usan para cocinar.

Por su parte, el ministro de Minas y Energía, Diego Mesa, manifestó su preocupación por el desabastecimiento de GLP que hay en el sur del país: “Los combustibles son un servicio esencial, permiten el transporte de alimentos, de pacientes e insumos médicos, y el GLP es indispensable para millones de hogares. Nuestro llamado es a abrirle paso al abastecimiento seguro por las vías de Colombia”, dijo el funcionario.

Finalmente, el presidente de Gasnova, Alejandro Martínez Villegas, eleva una solicitud a los alcaldes de municipios que se encuentran sitiados por los bloqueos. “Pedimos a las autoridades municipales que permitan la circulación de los camiones distribuidores del GLP, para que no se afecta a los hogares y negocios que requieren de este servicio”, puntualizó.

Denuncian incendio de camión cargado

Por su parte, la Asociación Gremial Colombiana de Comercializadores de Gas (AGREMGAS), denunció que en la vía Gachancipá – Chocontá que conduce a Tunja, encapuchados en medio del paro incendiaron un camión de una de sus afiliadas, que estaba cargado con 139 cilindros, de los cuales 18 estaban llenos de GLP.

Al respecto, Felipe Gómez, director ejecutivo de la agremiación dijo que “hacemos un llamado a la cordura y sensatez en medio del paro que actualmente estamos viviendo, con el fin de que este tipo de acciones violentas e irracionales no hagan parte del legítimo derecho a la protesta social.

Cabe resaltar que a pesar de que encendieron fuego a la cabina del camión repartidor, los cilindros no explotaron, gracias a la seguridad de los mismos y a la oportuna acción de varios de los conductores, que actuaron de manera oportuna con sus extintores y mitigaron el fuego en el vehículo.

“Condenamos actos cobardes, vandálicos y terroristas como los que se vienen presentando con los transportadores, campesinos, trabajadores de diversos sectores, personal de la salud (médicos, enfermeras, conductores de ambulancias) y comunidades de las diferentes poblaciones del país, que ya empiezan a sentir los efectos de escasés de alimentos, medicamentos y productos de primera necesidad en gran parte del territorio nacional”, puntualizó Gómez.
