- Las utilidades netas reportaron un crecimiento de 13,5% y los ingresos operacionales un crecimiento del 12% comparado con el 2017. El Grupo entregará dividendos históricos de $130 por acción.
28 de marzo de 2019. La Asamblea General de Accionistas del Grupo Energía Bogotá (GEB) aprobó este jueves los resultados financieros registrados durante 2018, en los que se destacó el crecimiento de 13,5% en la utilidad neta frente a 2017, que ascendió a COP$1,7 billones, un récord histórico.
Por su parte, el crecimiento de los ingresos operacionales fue de 12%, alcanzando los COP$4 billones, como consecuencia del buen desempeño operacional, comercial y financiero de las compañías del Grupo y de las empresas en las que tiene participación.
Así mismo, la Asamblea General de Accionistas autorizó distribuir utilidades por COP$1,2 billones, una cifra histórica que se traduce en el pago de COP$130 por acción a sus más de 7.000 accionistas. Esta cifra representa un crecimiento respecto a 2017, cuando se pagó un dividendo de COP$115 por acción, logrando una rentabilidad por dividendo superior al 6%.
La presidente del Grupo Energía Bogotá, Astrid Álvarez, destacó los buenos resultados de 2018 al señalar que “estos no habrían sido posibles sin el respaldo de nuestros accionistas, la pasión, el esfuerzo y compromiso de nuestros colaboradores y la acogida y el cariño de las comunidades en las zonas de influencia de nuestros proyectos. Estamos trabajando para que en 2019 sigamos creciendo en nuestros negocios de energía eléctrica y gas natural en América Latina”.
Entre los hechos más destacados en 2018 en el GEB y sus filiales, se encuentran:
En Colombia se inauguraron dos proyectos de trasmisión de energía eléctrica, Río Córdoba y Bolívar-Cartagena, que darán mayor confiabilidad a la prestación del servicio de energía eléctrica en la costa Caribe.
Además, fue adjudicado por la UPME el proyecto Colectora, que marca un hito en la historia del sector porque permitirá por primera vez transportar la energía que se producirá en los parques eólicos de La Guajira al resto del país.
En Perú, Cálidda logró un récord de 184.000 conexiones de gas natural, con más de 761.000 clientes, beneficiando a cerca de tres millones de peruanos, mientras que Contugas cumplió anticipadamente los 50.000 clientes previstos para el 2020.
En Guatemala, Trecsa reportó un avance del 74% en el PET, el proyecto de expansión de energía eléctrica más importante de Centroamérica, y Eebis culminó el Anillo Pacífico Sur, el primer proyecto privado de transmisión de energía eléctrica que se termina al 100% en el país.
Por su parte Gebbras, en Brasil, sigue en la búsqueda de nuevos negocios y de expansión en este importante mercado.
Álvarez sostuvo que además de la transmisión de energía y transporte de gas, el Grupo Energía Bogotá busca llevar progreso a las comunidades de los países donde tiene presencia, a través de corredores verdes, incorporando el concepto de sostenibilidad y protección del medio ambiente por donde pasan los proyectos.
