Ha sido mucho lo que se ha avanzado para generar un conocimiento de lo que son los principios del Pacto Global, que se han impulsado desde hace más de 20 años, como iniciativa de las Naciones Unidas. Y a partir del 2015, por estas mismas calendas, la Agenda 2030 de Desarrollo Sostenible.

5 de octubre de 2022. Los cuatro elementos centrales de Pacto Global están referidos a la protección de los derechos humanos; los estándares laborales para un trabajo digno; la protección ambiental; y la lucha contra la corrupción, a través de 10 Principios.
La Agenda 2030 recoge en los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) con sus 169 metas, toda la interacción entre las dinámicas que tienen que ver con las denominadas cinco P: Personas, Planeta, Prosperidad, Paz y Pacto para la Alianza, donde Pacto Global es primerísimo actor.
Recordando esto, es importante trabajar continuamente en los procesos de información, formación, diálogo entre pares, benchmarking y cooperación efectiva.
Las redes de Pacto Global en el mundo sirven de articuladoras para este propósito. En Colombia, la Red Colombiana de Pacto Global con cerca de 600 empresas y organizaciones adheridas globalmente, cumple cabalmente con este propósito desde 2004 como Red no Formal y desde el 2009 como Red Formal.
Su trabajo constante busca que distintos estamentos de la sociedad, en todo su conjunto: empresarios, academia, medios de comunicación, organismos de la sociedad civil y ciudadanía en general, así como las instituciones gubernamentales a todos los niveles, tengan como eje articulador de sus actuaciones específicas, tanto los 10 Principios como los 17 ODS.
No ha sido un trabajo fácil, pero si altamente satisfactorio y retador. No en vano la red se mueve a través de la INFORMACIÓN, con sus canales diversos de comunicación de una manera muy activa: página web, revista Objetivo 2030, programas de radio y TV, videos de validación con los adheridos, blog de opinión y redes sociales, entre otros.
Capítulo aparte merece la FORMACIÓN, con una programación variada en temas relacionados con la sostenibilidad en todas sus dimensiones, a través de más de 100 webinars y una serie de 60 cursos formativos, con expertos nacionales e internacionales de alto reconocimiento.
Un hito central dentro de la INFORMACIÓN-FORMACIÓN es la convocatoria a los congresos de Pacto Global, que este año, los días 26 y 27 de Octubre, se ha constituido desde hace 12 años en la más importante cita anual de la sostenibilidad, integridad y derechos humanos del país, con más de mil asistentes presenciales (antes de la pandemia) y en los formatos virtuales sobrepasando las 25.000 visualizaciones. La convocatoria de este año nos dice que estamos trabajando POR UN MUNDO MEJOR.
Este año, como en las versiones anteriores, se mostrará el avance de la agenda 2030 de sostenibilidad tanto en Colombia como en América Latina, desde la óptica de los derechos humanos, con cierto grado de especificidad con los derechos de los niños, niñas y adolescentes; con la visión del cumplimiento de los ODS por parte del sector empresarial, con la tercera medición del alcance de las empresas con información actualizada a 2021; igualmente el papel de las universidades como propiciadoras de los espacios académicos de interlocución; empresas y miembros de las redes de América Latina y El Caribe así como de las diferentes regiones del país.
Así, se presentarán los avances en los temas ambientales, transición energética, economía circular, alimentación, moda sostenible, anticorrupción, estándares laborales, paz y justicia, entre otros; que reflejan el papel de todo el entramado empresarial colombiana en pro de la sostenibilidad.
Nuestro trabajo es tratar de que día a día los temas de sostenibilidad estén en el corazón de todas las instituciones, sean públicas, mixtas, privadas y simplemente ciudadanas.
No siempre se logra el resultado con las primeras aproximaciones; requiere de una acción constante, ya que esto implica un esfuerzo intergeneracional e interdisciplinario. Pero uno no puede quedarse en la queja continua o en la sin salida de la frustración.
Hay que avanzar, a pesar de los retrocesos; hay que seguir encendiendo y manteniendo la luz en un camino tortuoso y lleno de vicisitudes; hay que lograr que cada día más y más estén comprometidos con este propósito. Si no lo hacemos así, el fracaso siempre está con ojo avizor.
Por eso, para lograr ese cambio en la ruta, consolidar los procesos, contar con más y más convencidos en este emprendimiento mundial, es necesario aplicar las C de la sostenibilidad: Convencimiento, Comprensión, Colaboración, Creatividad, Compromiso, Compasión, Confianza, Colaboración, Claridad, Concreción, Convicción, Comunicación y, sobre todo, hacerlo con el Corazón.
Por eso, nuestros verbos rectores para lograrlo son cuatro: insistir, resistir, persistir y nunca desistir. Este es nuestro credo para tener que el mundo de ahora es mejor que el de ayer y el de mañana será mucho más gratificante.
