Producción de gas y petróleo cayeron levemente en enero de 2021

Del 1,5% en gas y 1,9% en petróleo fueron los descensos en la producción de hidrocarburos en Colombia, frente al mes de diciembre de 2020.

2 de marzo de 2021.   La producción comercializada de gas en Colombia fue de 1.090 millones de pies cúbicos por día (mpcd) durante el primer mes de 2021, lo que significa una disminución de 1,5% frente a lo registrado en diciembre pasado (1.107 mpcpd). En comparación con enero de 2020 (1.116 mpcpd), la producción de este energético tuvo una disminución de 2,3%.

En enero se registró una disminución del gas comercializado en los campos Floreña, Floreña Mirador (Yopal, Casanare) y Chuchupa (Manaure, La Guajira) debido a trabajos de mantenimiento de equipos. 

En cuanto a la producción de petróleo, en el primer mes de 2021 fue de 745.247 barriles promedio día, una disminución de 1,9% frente a los datos reportados en diciembre pasado (760.016 bpd). Con respecto a la producción de enero de 2020 (883.872 bpd), se presentó una disminución del 15,6%.

La disminución durante enero se debió, principalmente, a producción diferida de los campos Castilla y Castilla Norte por restricción en las actividades de vertimiento de aguas de producción, lo que provocó el cierre de aproximadamente 123 pozos perdiendo hasta 17.000 bpd.

Adicionalmente, se presentaron diferidas de menor proporción en los campos Yariguí, Cantagallo (Cantagallo, Bolívar), Rubiales (Puerto Gaitán, Meta) y Akacías (Acacías, Meta), por problemas mecánicos y eléctricos.

Finalmente, durante enero de 2021 se inició la perforación de un pozo exploratorio y 33 pozos de desarrollo en Colombia, según indicó el Ministerio de Minas y Energía.
