Terpel amplía su oferta de estaciones para los consumidores de GNV

El plan de expansión de la compañía, en el segmento de GNV está alineado con la estrategia del gobierno colombiano para promover el uso de los vehículos con motores a Gas Natural Vehicular (GNV)

26 de noviembre de 2020.   La Organización Terpel anunció la ampliación de su cobertura de estaciones de servicio de GNV, a través de la instalación de puntos de carga rápida en los principales corredores viales del país.

A través de su marca Gazel, la compañía busca brindar a los propietarios de vehículos a GNV (particulares y tractocamiones) la posibilidad de viajar largas distancias por las carreteras de Colombia y así, promover la interconexión de ciudades, a través de estaciones de servicio de GNV.

Durante la inauguración de la primera estación de servicio de GNV en un corredor de carga -ubicada en el municipio de Bosconia, departamento del Cesar- la compañía informó que durante la primera fase del plan de expansión, que se desarrollará entre 2020 y 2021, los esfuerzos se enfocarán en facilitar la movilidad de vehículos a GNV en el corredor vial que conecta Cundinamarca con la zona norte del país.

Para ello, se instalarán surtidores de última tecnología, con válvulas NGV2, en 10 estaciones de servicio, ubicadas en Mosquera, Chía, Zipaquirá, Corozal, Barranquilla, Buga, Cartagena y Santa Marta, entre otros municipios, disminuyendo los tiempos de recarga.

“Hoy los vehículos a GNV no pueden salir de las ciudades porque no existe una red de estaciones que les permita realizar trayectos largos. Por eso, en Terpel tomamos la decisión de atender esta necesidad e impulsar el uso de los vehículos a gas, conscientes de que hay una demanda creciente por parte de la industria que utiliza en su operación vehículos pesados que usan exclusivamente GNV” explicó Johand Patiño, vicepresidente comercial de Terpel.

Se calcula que en Colombia alrededor de 200 mil vehículos usan activamente GNV y de esos, más de 1.000 son dedicados exclusivamente a este combustible.

Se espera que en los próximos años crezca el parque automotor dedicado a GNV, gracias a las exenciones arancelarias para la importación de vehículos de este tipo, establecidas por el Gobierno Nacional en el Decreto 2051 de 2019.

Terpel espera llegar a 244 estaciones de servicio Gazel a nivel nacional, consolidándose como los líderes en ventas de GNV en el país, con la red más grande en distribución. Asimismo, espera comercializar alrededor de 26 millones de metros cúbicos de gas mensuales, lo que equivale a cerca de 312 millones de m3 al año.

Con este plan de expansión, Gazel estará presente en los principales corredores viales del país.

Terpel instalará surtidores repotenciados con la válvula NGV2, que reduce el tiempo de tanqueo en casi la mitad, pasando de 45 minutos a 20 para vehículos pesados.

Este proyecto complementa el programa Rumbo de la compañía, que permite optimizar recursos y obtener información detallada sobre el consumo y rendimiento de flotas de transporte, incluso las dedicadas a GNV.

 Basado entre tres pilares: red, información y control, Rumbo brinda a los empresarios la posibilidad de reducir el consumo de combustible y gestionar eficientemente sus operaciones de transporte, desde una plataforma web donde son directamente los empresarios quienes dan los parámetros a sus vehículos para un mayor control.

Con la expansión de red Gazel, Terpel se consolida como la empresa de distribución de combustible con la oferta más completa del mercado: combustibles líquidos, GNV y energía eléctrica.
